Bonne Bay Marine Center

After Kayaking we got a guided tour of the aquarium. We got to touch most of the creatures at one point or another and then they had the pool that you could stick your hand in and feel all the crabs and starfish and stuff. I stuck my camera in as well and have been fascinated by the detail of everything I've been swimming by all this time.

Kayaking Adventure!

So, in Gros Morne we did a guided tour of Bonne Bay. It was well worth it since our guide was a grad student in marine biology and Bonne Bay is an incredible place for that. Above water there were moose, deer, bald eagles, sea otters, terns, and gulls. But underneath was the amazing part! We had everything from tropical to tundra within meters of each other! Coral, crab, anemones, whales, seals, barnacles, lobsters, jellyfish and a lot of other stuff.

The sea was really rough that day so we got a good workout. And a good mental workout as we had to learn how to work as a team of two.

Then after that came the aquarium tour, but that's for the next post!
