My time on that rock in the sea

December Hike!

My cousin and I went hiking yesterday near the Virginia border. It was tropical to me because of the foliage, but there were giant icicles on the dark sides of the hills. We had a good time soaking up the sun and jumping over rivers and hopping from rock to rock across the muddy parts and talking while walking (many of the best talks happen then) and kicking up leaves. Overall, I was very happy.

Christmas in North Carolina

We had a nice, easy-going Christmas with no snow. It was all right, but I don't think I could get used to this heat. I made us breakfast, being the official "morning person" of this little family. We played with the puppies a lot that day, including putting doggy Christmas hats on them, and geeked out to the Doctor Who Christmas special. Each of us enjoyed our gifts. And celebrated by being close. Dinner was amazing (steak cooked by Kathy) and we finished off the night by nerding out with a "pi-r-squared" pie.
The next day we decorated cookies because it's traditional over here. Of course there was a TARDIS.
